Doaa was born in Dumiat and is an Egyptian caricaturist. She graduated from the Faulty of Fine Arts, Cinema and Theatre Interior Design Department and was a political caricaturist at Al Dostor newspaper, Rose Al Youssef Magazine and Sabah El Kheir Magazine. Doaa has also contributed to several other magazines such as for Qatr El Nada, Alaa-ElDin and Bassem Magazine. She now works on children illustrations at Al Masry Al Youm.

She has participated in numerous art exhibitions in Egypt and around the world; France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Denmark and Tunisia.

Awards:

• Best caricaturist in 2009 by the Journalists Union in Egypt.
• Mustafa and Ali Amin Prize in 2015.
• Nominated as one of the most inspirational and influential woman of 2016 by the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC.
• Mahmoud Kahil Award 2017.
• Nominated as the world’s top 10 cartoonist in 2018 by the Cartoon Home Network International in Norway.

And several other international awards from Italy, France and the Journalists Club in Geneva.
