TUAN DAHIM ANAK NADOT

Dahim Anak Nadot, a Bidayuh from Bau District in Sarawak, overcame early challenges and lots of hardship to pursue higher education, earning degrees in Resource Economics, Business Administration, and Advanced Business Practice from institutions in Malaysia, the UK, and Australia. His career began at SALCRA, where he worked on Native Customary Rights (NCR) land development from 1981 to 2001.

He later joined the Sarawak State Civil Service, serving in various senior roles in the State Civil Service Administration including Deputy Resident, Principal Assistant Secretary, and Resident of Kapit, Sarikei and as the First Resident of a newly established Serian Division. His work focused on development planning, administration, and overseeing   projects involving native land rights and disputes, especially those impacted by large infrastructure projects like hydroelectric dams.

After retiring in 2017, Dahim continued contributing to the Sarawak State Government through the Native Courts of Sarawak, coordinating a major study to restructure and elevate the institution to a full-pledged judicial institution. He has received several state honours for his service and remains active in community organizations. Now retired, he enjoys golf, farming, and is working on a book documenting his 43 years of public service.
