Professor Dato’ Noor Aziah Mohd Awal is a contract Professor of law at Faculty of Law, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She started her academic career in UKM as a tutor in 1985. She was appointed Deputy Vice Chanselor of Students and Alumni Affairs for four years (2014-2018); Principal of Kolej Dato Onn for ten years (2004-2014), Deputy Dean for two years (1994-1995) and Coordinator of Masters in Intellectual Property for five years (2005-2010). She was the Director of Institute Islam Hadhari, UKM for 9 months since 1st December 2018. She is Chairperson of Biro Kebajikan dan Tabung Pelajaran, Sukmanita UKM since year 2000. She is also a member of the Islamic Religious Council of Negeri Sembilan and was the first female to be appointed to such a post in Negeri Sembilan; the National Advisory and Consultative Council for Children since 2017-2017, the Board of Directors for IKIM; the Editorial Board of Jurnal Kanun, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka; and the Disciplinary Panel for Bar Council Disciplinary Committee. In 2016 she was appointed as Malaysian Representative to the Asean Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Right of Women and Children 2016-2019.
